95hp on a 1600GT engine is good numbers. 86hp in the Ford guise - probably the tubular 4-2-1 manifold and K&N giving the extra. Breathing important for strong performance on the Kent engine.
Guy said from the read out it looks like someone has put a different cam in it , a bit flat at the bottom end but power curve is straight up, so happy knowing its a good strong engine as I thought from all the oil it might need a rebuild so that money saved which budgeted for mrzigazaga said:

I always used the Kent Cams BCF3, which was "ultimate fast road" and the highest lift possible without machining valve pockets in the pistons. Power was 3000 to 7000rpm and it wouldn't tick over below 1200rpm (especially with a lightened flywheel). From memory, got 109bhp with a single downdraught dual Weber, Janspeed manifold and system, ITG filter and a home porting job. Raised to 118bhp with a 1660cc rebore and a bigger sidedaught dual Weber on a Lynx crossover manifold. Billet rocker posts with solid spacers and balanced crank for a safe 7000rpm. Ran the 109bhp spec in my 1600E and the 118bhp spec in my MK2 Escort. Happy days (and close to 30 years ago - crikey!).95bhp could be a BCF2 fast road cam or similar.

Blooming cold this morning but some braved the elements and drove with their roofs down so I am turning myself in as I wimped out and left the roof up, sun was shining and I thought she looked rather nice shame about the dodgy characters lurking around though
We did discuss the roof police and your fine
