Still full of air
Discussion
Hi Dix...When the brake fluid was replaced in Delilah it took about an hour's worth of bleeding to remove all the air..The rear of the car was slightly higher than the front but whether this made a difference i don't know..But it did take numerous back and forth front then rear bleeding to remove all the air...Ziga
As already mentioned fella it takes a bit of time for the Princess callipers to bleed out given all the nipples etc. You mention it was firm then went spongy ... This sounds like another issue .. did you fit new seals to the master? if so that might not be working correctly, is the servo working correctly? does the pedal test as already covered work? What brake fluid did you put in it?

A bit wary of putting the old master cylinder on as that will mean putting more air back into the system. So I bled them again today took it out to test em first press of the pedal it travelled further than it should. Seemed ok for a bit took it back jacked it up again and bled them again. No air at the rear but a few bubbles at the front. Took it out again seemed great then with no warning travelled too far again FFS starting to get on my tits this. It's not going to the floor just every now and then travells further than it should???????

I had a similar problem and it was the master on mine. If you don't want to put the old one on then get another (47 quid I think on the flea) and if it turns out to be something else I'll buy it off you because I put an old master onto mine when the original packed up, and ought to replace it, really.

Are you certain the discs are running true? If they're not then the pads will get pushed back when you drive and it'll feel just like air in the system.
Could be warped discs or more likely just dirt/rust on the disc/hub flanges.
Everything's brand new Martin thats whats confusing me.Could be warped discs or more likely just dirt/rust on the disc/hub flanges.
update:
Got the car up in the air again and bled all five nipples about 4 times rear first passemgers frobt then the drivers side last. Possible sucess only one spongy press after a quick blast around. When people said tgey are a bugger to bleed they weren't joking. More like a nightmare.
