350i driveshaft UJ part numbers

The wedge part numbers wiki has it listed HS163 and HS179

Can anyone shed light on this?
I'm stuck for identifying which one.

Hi mate...I believe the latter..(HS179).. is for the 400SE which are slightly larger than the ones needed for the 350i...As i understand it the half shafts are bigger for the 400 and upwards....Ziga

To be sure you have to measure them see this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=5&a... for dimensions.

It's quite possible that someone has uprated them for the larger UJ's, because they last forever on the 350i. (I did this on mine...)
