Idicators and central locking

Hi, the indicators and the hazard warning have suddenly stopped working.
when you move the indicator arm up or down you can hear a click at the switch, but when the hazard light button is pressed, the light stays on and but does not flash and when the indicator arm is moved no click is heard.When the immobiliser is pressed all the indicator lights worked.
I looked in the passenger footwell for the fuses (and found Spaghetti junction),I took the fuses out one by one, they all looked Ok, BUT when I manage to get the fuse cover back in place, not only does the indicators not work,the central locking and the immobiliser does not either.
The engine and all other functions are still working OK

Hi Terry. I hope you are looking well after my ex-wedge. There is no doubt in my mind that you are.
I have never come across this problem on that car, but something tells me it's to do with the security system. It might be worth while having a chat with the alarm and immobiliser suppliers/fitters. The details should be in the back of the large history folder. Also, think back to the first time it happened and what was done or carried our prior to the problem. All the best.

Hi Tony,I took our wedge to a jag/porche/landrover dealer to see if the tick over low revs running could be inproved. On the way home i found the indicators were not working (could be, as you said, they disturbed a wire looking for the bonnet release). Will have to a auto electrican to have it sorted.Have you got another TVR

Hi Terry. So far, I have looked at one Tuscan and one Corvette. The Corvette was too far gone and the Tuscan guy wouldn't budge on the price. Consequently I'm still looking, and the time of year is against me as we're heading for the winter.
I believe there are alarm/security snap connectors very near the bonnet pull, so it may be an idea to have a look at the wires around that area incase something has been disturbed or come appart. If you have no joy, an auto electrician should be able to sort it for you. Show him the wiring diagrams relevant to the car in the back of the Wedge Bible. All the best.

(Having just fixed my wedge after it got the pod disease....)
All you can do is to go through methodically - check the relays and fuses have good connections and the tabs are clean, and if you have a multimeter check voltages are OK. Check multiway connectors are clean, and tight.
Remember that faulty earths are common on GRP cars, and wedges are no exception. Floating earths can give truly wierd symptoms....
with a battery charger and a few wires, you can check if the relays work....

Sounds like you bought a right ole banger.....(Only messing)...Welcome the quirky world of FFS..Which is Wedged shaped and gets under your skin and in your hair..And quite often requires some blood letting and an awful lot of swearing but its all part of the journey.
There are some well knowledge people on here and they are always here to help..Your in good hands....
