420 SEAC (1986) Value?

Hi All,
Whilst scouring a car yard, I could not believe it upon finding a 420 SEAC (1986) holed up in the corner. It was covered by a broken tarpaulin, open to the elements and looking very sorry for itself. Hasn't been looked at and started for over 3 years and apparently a complete car ( engine all there etc).
Any ideas what this is worth as I am definitely interested? Obviously it probably has major issue with the chassis but I'm interested because it is a genuine 420 SEAC with a HUGE exhaust tailpipe! 😀

I am still trying to trace my brother in law's 420SEAC which we went and bought from then a one lady owner, when it was just a year old for 17.5k. He used it for several years, then part exchanged it for a Ferrari 348 spider at Marenellow's in Egham. I haven't seen that SEAC since. It is red and the reg no. is E754FLL. Could it be this one I wonder? It's showing SORN on the road tax check.

You could actually half that if you know what you are doing...And do most of it yourself...Would be nice if its a black SEAC....If it is then it could be a dark horse...Or a dead one....See if it has...

Sorry about the delay but I have not been down to see the 420 SEAC lately and managed to see it again at the weekend plus finally speak to the owner.
Confirmed it is a "D" reg plus apparently the 3rd off the production line and a kevlar model. It is black/ dark grey with a massive exhaust out the back which made me smile! I snatched a few phone photos from the back but I apologise for not downloading them - my android phone is not connecting with anything at the moment!
The owner is a very nice bloke with an attachment to the car and does not really want to sell but would for the right price! Having spoken to him at length I feel he has too much of an attachment and would be asking too much. Im concerned that it has sat outside for a few years under a ripped tarpaulin and is now obviously just open to the elements which is really sad. The nearside front wheel arch has damage from another car plus the usual sitting around dilemmas that would be double with a TVR and moreso with a SEAC model. This definitely means a kevlar repair plus the usual brakes, engine, interior and god knows what other resto issues.
Im personally interested but do not know what to offer as I don't want to offend but also do not want to pay too much either! Is the 420 SEAC in this condition worth fretting over?
Any thoughts?

daft as it sounds and likely you have already done so
but before a offer i would check the chassis number with the chap that runs the registers of these beasts (they have a club all of their own) read in a few books about 350i copies (not saying so this case but would effect my offer if found not as thought)
kevlar repairs on what could be your aged body shell, getting that right to match in with the expected rippled existing panels i would have thought difficult, repairs with GRP much easier if not time consuming, same book offers that most kelvar changed anyways to suit customers demands, i doubt it though.
as for price of yours, two in classified elsewhere and they are advertised for 24500 (one likely just like the one you are think of, square dash
)and 26000. so you have got to be starting at 4k if its really a skip, with the likely-hood a few more on here would be happy to pay more (its all about the ownership, not the cost in doing it up, having TVR's you will know about this)
