I saw a few different mods to aid cooling at the lastest BBWF.
Be interested on some more details.

There was the old classic of removing the feed to the plenum (you can also remove the base but you need to fill the holes.)
This make things look a lot nicer and easier to remove the rocker cover, the heated plenum is not needed in the UK climate.

I did see some people have added swirl pots as per the Later GRIMMS be interested in some more info.

Also the Hatter swapped the feed to the bottom of the expansion tank to the bottom of the radiator instead of the top. and tidyed up some spaghetti of small hoses. which he says has made a vast improvement in flow.

be interested in some thoughts, esp as the Wedge design has always been problematic even with all of the early changes.

Hi Leigh

I've done the top one you've mentioned all pretty much all my wedges, it really does not have a need on our cars and as you say stops hot water going round the plenum intake and makes the piping neater

And you can totally remove the rocker cover with the plenum still on if that pad thing is removed and the bolt holes filled (think only 2 of the 4 holes need doing)

Could the T piece serving the plenum be rotated to provide a bleed point?

Common on serp chim/griff for this to be blanked off and the hose capped off allowing it to be used as a bleed point

Wasn't a cooling problem at the time but found this.

I think I need this doing too ... I have a spare plenum heater, I might just fill it with liquid metal & just make a spacer out of it.

If your going to liquid metal it, then just take them plenum off and the heater and seal the 2 though holes with liquid metal. or use dome head bolts and thread lock to seal the holes.

We don't need one the supercharger does it nicely and there no cooling that down in the short distance between the sc and plenum.... I've tried!
