TVR Parts did have some last year. You can get your old unit reconditioned by Speedy Cables.

its for an early chim, came back busted when gearbox refurbed - wires broken off at the unit, i guess i can dig out all the resin and resolder etc, just under the cosh for time and would be easier to just replace and repair this one when time allows.

Yeah you _must_ remove this stuff when sending the g/b off, same applies to the speedo drive gear, I got a recon exchange box back with a different gear and the speedo was miles out (too fast) afterwards.

OP - how many teeth does yours have and is it 4-pulse or 8-pulse? I have one somewhere but can't remember what it is. If you're stuck let me know what you have and I'll see if I can find it.

No need to take it apart. Look through the little hole in the underside side of the boss and count how many times a little silver bit passes the hole. Is it 4 or 8?

TVR Parts No. F0041 might be what you want. If you have an 8-pulse unit count the number of teeth and PM me. I should have found it by this evening.

Is it the same type as used by jaguar in series 3 xj6?

I used one of these on an LT77 in my jag. The securing nut needs to be carefully cut off and a fork and spacer made to secure in place.
