Admittedly though if I had a space to keep my first love then I would still have Delilah...smile

I have spent alot of time thinking which one to keep..... but personally for me the 280i pipped the 350i to the post. (prob due to the time I spent getting it back on the road)

I know it isnt a v8 but everything else is still there - the noise / looks / grin factor.

Hats off to you mate...you have finally got the 280i on the road after many years....you had a set back with the cossie engine but persevered ...You are also only 2db lower than Delilah was..although you might actually be louder as when I took your reading I don't recall you doing it at 4000 rpm....smile

Sounds great on the runout vid...yes

TBH I cannot remember.. however, I do remember it being much louder, to the point you couldn't chat normally if it was idleing !!.. Also, it still isnt properly tuned either - have it booked in with Interpro this week to get the air / fuel mixture properly sorted.. so who knows.. watch this space wink

Cool...Bear in mind though that once the AFR is sorted that the only real power gains come from correctly set rockers...The Cologne is known for it...even a small out of adjustment can effect performance considerably...I know its a pain but they should be checked cold and hot...smile

Yes I spotted it last night and contacted Dom. It's a mistake which they've already rectified.

Looks like my old 390se. It's looking nice ...definitely had lots of money spent on it cosmetically since I gave it away 2 years ago.

Prices for 350i's (apart from one!) are about what I was paying 12 years ago.... not gone up, not gone down...

Well, that's good isn't it? 12 years on and still worth the same. Zero depreciation. How many modern cars can say that?
