Hi mate

When I first saw the pics I wasn't sure..Liked the rear end and love the wheels...But I watched a vid of the reveal and I'm bought...I like it...You can see all the elements of various TVR's in the design...The centre console reminds me of a 400SE..The rear glass and quarters like an FHC...Tamora bonnet...Griff wings...Cerb roof line..I think Mr E has done TVR proud...Be nice to know when the new TVR Wedge is getting built...Mind you that engine might just fit in one...smile

From what I've seen so far in pictures, I'm well impressed. The rear light arrangement is unusual and looks like nothing else I've seen before. The interior too looks impressive. Side exit exhaust and big smart alloys. The front does look like a few other modern cars on the road but still, very smart. Yes, I'm impressed and hope the road test report is just as good. They're certainly claiming super car performance so it's bound to be quick. What TVR isn't? It's not cheap, but then no new TVR ever was. Nice one.

I love it. There's bits and bobs of previous TVR's in it. Absolutely love the rear end as it reminds me of the Maserati 3200GT and its boomerang rear lights. I did suggest to the missus that we get one but that lead balloon didn't float very well.......

Hi Zig

The Rover V8 or Ford Mustang V8 do things in different ways and don't feel the same, both very good at somethings but not the same.
I should know with a 4.6 Rover in the wedge and 4.6 Mustang in the MG wink

So what Zig seems to be saying is - they raided the TVR parts bin from previous models and made a new TVR!!!

I'm not sure about the front, it looked a bit "S2000" to me, but side and especially rear looks great.

I'm hoping to see a few flames coming out of those side exhausts on a Tunnel Run!

looking at the pictures of the chassis - that engine comes out underneath the car.... could be interesting for enthusiasts to work on in a few years time!

sorry i think an opportunity to produce some thing very special has been well and truly missed the interior looks particularly amateur very aston esk body with boring cyclone engine and a very old school tremec
gearbox presumably aimed at the yanks even mr. edgar called it a muscle car very very disappointed

I saw those exhausts and thought 1) is exhaust now so clean that it will not corrode/stain the trim and paint? And 2) I assume it needs cats so the plumbing is either massively crammed around the engine or looped back and forth. (Haven't seen the underside pictures though.) Wonder if that design element will make it into production. OK with me if the exhaust come out farther aft.

Interior (drivers switch gear) just looks silly.

Just my $.02 as I'll be a tire kicker (unless I win a lottery).

Q's 1,2 GM will have sorted this out on the SLS back in 2010.

I suppose the switch gear is just personnel taste. You could do what most chim and Griff drivers have done, hacksawed the cavalier stalks off and fitted aluminium ones wink

Les has factored this into the design as TVR DNA of cutting up your own car for surelaugh

I'm on the fence. Love the rear end and can definitely see a bit of a Sagaris in the rear (particularly the lights), but I kind of wish they'd taken inspiration from the Sagaris for the front also instead of what I see as a happy smiley Griffith. It's like they've tried to give too many nods to previous TVRs and have made a bit of a confused car. The more aggressive Autocar front end would have been more appealing to me and more inline with the styling of the rear quarter. Massive fan of the engine & side exhausts, and also a fan of the interior!!

I do wonder if reading the feedback on the front end (all the forums and pages I'm on seem to be not so keen on it) if they'll make any changes before launch... Doubtful, but you never know.

I guess that's my pointless two cents on it

p.s. If LE is reading, I wish the guys all the best with it and I'm happy to be consulted on future design decisions wink

Been a few days now and ive gone back a few times to look at the press pictures and I dislike it.
The side and rear I could live with, but the front is just wrong!.

Someone photoshopped spider alloys on it and it looked a lot better, but to me, it doesnt have that "Wow" factor that every other TVR has had.
"if" I were looking to drop £90k on a car, there are a lot of other contenders that I would be likely to consider before this new one.
