Yeah pressing the bearing shells in or out is a job for someone with a big fricking press. One some of mine previously there was obvious damage to the ball bearings that looked more like mini petanque boules with the grooves cut into them.
Hi Adam, I spoke to the he guys at the garage, they didn't think the bearings seemed knackered, and when I took the hub carriers off the bearings seemed to me to run quite smooth and have plenty of grease. But that's what the problem was. Not very helpful I know! Ian
