Its been a while
Bought my 350i in 1999, lasted a month, gearbox bearing went, took it off the road to restore been there ever since
Last summer got to grips, body back onto refurbished chassis etc last November.
Just completed replacement of the alloy honeycomb on the bulkhead, want to re-fit the heater.
Question what holds the unit in place. Appreciate its a tight fit against the foam on the transmission tunnel, but cannot see any obvious anchoring points

On my SEAC the heater was just wedged in place with a bit of mastic where water could leak into the cabin. I made some simple L shaped brackets to hold it in place.

Thanks for the reply
Think I will try do do something similar. Is there some type of gasket / seal where the fan goes through the bulkhead?

Not on mine... I made something out of a block of foam rubber.
