sorry about no link must find out how to do it bit old school I will bypass the resistor to test it out
The fuse sounds a good idea and easy to replace looked at the pektron if I unsolder one end of it cut resistor off the rest of the wire is long enough to join and make the circuit
Thanks for your help

Having looked again at the full circuit I am of the opinion that the resistor could be removed from the circuit
Should anything short out the diode in that resistors circuit will blow before a wire or fuel pump relay managed to overheat and burn, the resistor isn't protecting much and a diode will fuse in the same way as a resistor with a value of of 2.7 ohms
There is a very good chance that TVR needed a diode pack and chose to use a Pektron diode pack that happened to have a resistor wired in, the resistor very likely protects more in another vehicles circuit than it does with your TVR and that will be down to how TVR chose to wire the car

If you were to study the engines circuits you would notice that nothing has been properly fused, there is even an unfused battery supply going through the injection relay to the air flow meter and back to the Pektron through that blue/purple wire

I am confident you can do away with the resistor in the Pektron
The resistor very likely achieves much more in the circuit of the vehicle it was originally built for

Have faith, bypass the resistor and re-test, if you still have a problem there is a very good chance that a diode has failed or is breaking down when a voltage is applied to it

You can make your own diode pack with these if you fancy something different

Thanks all sorted , I by passed the resistor and put a 5 amp fuse in line and all operates as standard thanks again for your help
Now I want to Identify all the relays and fuses before I put it back together should be easy and may save time in the future
I hope to get an mot by May

That's great news, well done fixing it, there's nothing worse than having to go through a mess created by someone else
Enjoy

Hi-An old thread but found after some googling to find a DAC1861!

That's an interesting alternative. What are your thoughts on how would that be interfaced to the 5-pin DAC1861 configuration that would be plugged into the 'relay' style socket?
