Want to replace the diff oil on my 400, anyone got any tips? The filler looks a bit awkward to say the least! Also has anyone changed to synthetic oil in there?

The drain plug on mine seems to leak a little bit, is it worth using a sealer of some type to prevent this?

All advise appreciated

Assuming you have the powerlock LSD the main thing is to ensure you use the correct oil, not sure what you mean by "synthetic" in this context. I ended up going to a main dealer with an empty container and buying a couple of litres to make sure I got the right stuff. Used a normal oil bottle (with nipple type cap) and a long length of tube to get the oil in. As you say, access was tricky but not impossible.

One very important tip is to use diff oil suitable for LSD /slippy diffs std diff oil will knacker the clutch plates in the diff.
