My old SEAC in Classic Car Magazine
Discussion
So there I was nonchalantly browsing the mags in the local newsagent when, I noticed the front cover of Classic Car magazine... I thought to myself 'Ooh, a group test with a SEAC' in it..
Closer inspection, it's my old fking SEAC!! So I gave the mag a quick flick though, but didn't read any of it....or buy the bloody thing! Still a little upset at selling it, and for the price the greedy bds are now selling it for.. IF, it has been sold & for anything near the £35k price?
That's all, as you were. Minor rant over
And my old beasty

A brief response to Wayne;s comments.
We sold the car on behalf of its owner for a small fee. The fee didn't cover the cost of us driving the car c.500m to Wedgefest (which we sponsored) and the drive to the magazine shoot.... but we had a great time.
We are true Wedge enthusiasts very proud to have led the parade laps around Rockingham at Wedgefest and raising the profile of our lovely rare Wedges via the magazine shoot.

Unfortunately i didnt read the article.. i wanted to, but as i miss the car i knew i would probably feel sad if i did Though knowing me, I will now get a copy.
It was great to see the car in a quality article, and as a Wedge enthusiast i am sure it fared very well against the competition... No disrespect meant to the current owner or those who organised the photo shoot and write up. It genuinely did surprise me to see it though.. you dont enter a newsagent to buy chocolate for car park change..only to see your old SEAC on the shelf.
It does have me looking at TVRs again though.. isnt life fickle

I do feel for anyone who has had to sell their P&J...as we all know these cars get right under your skin, for me its the whole package, my TVR experience started off as salvation after a long term illness, it still is amazing 8 years on, the fraternity is just awesome.
We are all custodians of a big chunk of British classic car history that is our heritage, I for one feel proud to be part of it...
I cannot even begin to know how it would feel to have to sell...for me it would be like losing a close member of the family...

Hi Wayne great to see your old car in print I would just be glad about that.
You always had a habit of spending loads on your TVRs, getting them thoroughly decent and sorted and then (strangely) selling them and usually far too cheap
I wouldn't buy another if I were you
Probably a very good point Steve.. it was an awesome car, i just felt i needed a different direction car wise.. Done the same with the RS, near on 400bhp and yet im getting itchy for something else again You always had a habit of spending loads on your TVRs, getting them thoroughly decent and sorted and then (strangely) selling them and usually far too cheap

Lovely car.
I have to ask - why on earth did you sell it ? Seems a crazy decision. ??
Because I’d owned 6 TVRs in succession, including a 450 SEAC and a this 420 SEAC....I even dipped a toe into the Chimp world with a 450 Chimeara.. It just felt the right time to make the change. Mk2 Focus RS values are creeping up for nice low mile ones.. so I took the plunge. The fact they also make a nice 5 cylinder noise helps. Not quite as biblical as a Wedge though! Quite fancy a mint 400SE.. if I had the space.
