Truely so very sad, I knew Richard for just a few short years but he has left an impression on me that will last a lifetime.
A great man lost to us too soon. At piece now. sad sad times.
I look forward to gathering at the next Wedgefest (this year or more likely next) where perhaps we can take a little time to celebrate the Big Man. Love and light. David and Anne.

I am attempting to write an obituary/tribute to Richard for the TVRCC magazine. I am struggling for info and decent pictures of him, so if anyone is able to help I would be most grateful for any help.

He was a smashing guy, and one of the instigators of the South Yorkshire region, so deserves to be remembered in a fitting manner.

Thanks,

Oliver.

There is always hope. Unfortunately the Wedge fraternity appears to be such a closed clique that no one bothers to respond to someone who isn't part of the right crowd (but has been asked to do the right thing).

Not got a clue what you are on about.

The wedge owners have always been a very open and friendly lot.

Alan, I'd say the vast majority of Wedge owners are a friendly lot, keen to support all things Wedge like, but there is a very small minority whose either egos, opinions or hatred of the TVRCC get in the way of doing the right thing.

Oh well, thanks for trying to help. I will battle on, I just think I should be able to get beyond than 500 words about someone who gave so much for the club and cars.

Maybe I need to buy a Taz so people will speak to me...

Oliver.

Hi Keith & Oliver

I would like to help but I didn't know Richard that well, I do know he fell out with the TVRCC in about 2015/16 over something and as the other Facebook group are mainly against the TVRCC then I am not surprised with there actions. But unfortunately some of those people are the people who knew Richard well!

Such sad news.

I knew Richard pretty well and for a long long time, had some great times over a beer or three. Still think about his round the world in eighty days story quite regularly laugh

Condolences to his family.

RIP Richard.
Hi Chris, very sad news. I had no idea that this might happen. He was younger than me.

I remember talking through his business idea over a pint with him saying that this would be the best or worst thing that he'd ever done.

Kind regards.

Agreed.

There were a few here who disliked the TVR CC not 100% sure why this is but they (TVR CC) did attend a few of the wedge fest annual events.

I enjoyed being a member for many years but left as my car is a garage queen.

To return to the road soon cloud9
