Hi all,

So this one has been bugging me for a while. The 350i has a couple of loose wires in the passenger side rear of the engine bay near the bulkhead that disappear into the harness. As can be seen one has a connector the other has nothing, but could have had at some point I suppose.

Would any like minded 350 owner have them, if so what are they for. Being totally honest I have not looked at this nor checked to see if they are live, go to earth or anything as yet.

Thanks

Ray

They are redundant wires that on the Rover were used for an inertia switch. All V8 Wedges have the same two wires at the back of the engine, unless someone has cut them out. All three Wedges I've had/have are the same. Cheers.

Could be for an inertia switch to cut the fuel pump

Hi,

Great thanks I will tape them up and forget them.
Get on with rebuilding the clutch master cylinder, as that went west the other day....never a dull moment.

Many thanks
