From memory - I believe there were only 10 450's made but plenty have upgrade to the 4.6 motor over the years.

Lost me here? What's a 530 SEAC? There were 38 420 SEACs and supposedly 18 450s. People with their ear to the ground hear whispers if SEACs are coming to market before advertised and surprisingly they are very quickly snapped up. Good luck. I agree the PH forum is not what it was. The three different competing Private FB Wedge forums have taken the traffic away.

Sorry, a little off-topic this my opologies in advance.
That is sad for people like me that do not have a FB account, in fact I deleted it. For past cars I have found forums easier to use (search) and linked to google better, Try carrying out a google search, and see if it returns a FB article.
For example Type in "TVR Wedge for sale" how many posts are linked to the FB for sale section. However, PH is near to the top, as would be technical questions....probably my loss, but not so far.

Think he looked at my profile. My engine is now a 5.3...

biggrin

Not sure how that makes it a bad forum.

I also do not used FB.

PH can't possibly be beaten for knowledge though, there are a vast amount of proper clever techies posting here that are able to solve any problems

Many people don't do FB

I was banned from a FB Wedge group before getting in and often joke with friends that am possibly the only person that has failed to join FB. I mean to say, how can one be banned before joining, it's hilarious

Spies managed to join FB >>>>howling

I agree with all of the above. Personally I prefer the PH Wedge forum and as said it is ease to search for past gems of technical information. I generally check PH daily to see what's going on and if there is anything useful I can contribute. I also used PH to record the recommissioning of my SEAC again because it's easy to search for others in the future.

I do find it frustrating that a number of Wedge enthusiasts, owners and friendly personalities have fallen out with each other, hence the three competing FB Wedge sites. All rather silly.

The TVR car club Wedge forum is even deader than the PH forum. Very few of the Wedgers remain active TVRCC members.

A right grumpy cantankerous lot us Wedge owners.......

So Alan, how many horses is it now putting out, and if we ever have a BBWF again, and there are no more personality fall outs to diminish numbers, will we actually see the mythic beast?? Cheers.

Seems mad to me that people could fall out over liking the same car. What is there to fall out about?

I have greatly benefited from all the advice here - even when some of it has not been correct (can't expect people to correctly diagnose everything over the internet).

Maybe we need some new blood. Get a wedge in a film then, prices will skyrocket and the forums will be flooded with eager young enthusiasts

This is definitely the place to search for old answers, I now see them popping up repeatedly on FB because the search is limited to a few (5?) years, and is also poor. Searching here is only limited by your prowess with google!

I try to curate the best stuff into the FAQ and technical section for ease of access.

But yes, we could do with more activity!

PH will never be bettered, there is an endless pit of knowledge here and as you mention, all can be easily found

350 at last count but would not rev over 5K.

Currently changing the cam and checking all the components to find the issue.

Sure hope it will be on the road soon and making an appearance at BBWF.

Blimey, 350bhp and rising. Must be the most powerful SEAC around. Glens rebuilt 420 is 340bhp, but is still 4.2l capacity. Very much look forward to seeing it one day. Keen to see what Andy Race does with the Guernsey SEAC he's just bought..... Cheers.

We are very much limited by the driveshafts and rear suspension design on the wedge. Its the weakest link. Not sure how or if it will cope with 400bhp.

Picture from last weekend.
