Following a short discussion on the book of faces, I'm wondering about the Corsa Electric PAS set up.
There's a few carried out the conversion, or had the conversion carried out for them but where do I get a kit of the relevant parts please?
Thanks

I would hazard a guess that there is not a kit of parts as such. As these tended to be custom made or were the last time I looked.
There are companies that will do a bespoke conversion for you, though the cost could be a factor.

I looked into this when I had a Scimitar GTE. It was not a standard nuts and bolts job due to the fabrication required.

It is an electric-driven shaft. As in this case, a Corsa unit seems to be the donor column of choice, and probably so for most conversions due to size.
The Corsa motor is then grafted into the steering column at a suitable point, this by welding the new to old (welding will need to be top-notch as it is safety-critical), additional mounting brackets will need to be made.
Then it is suitably wired. The wiring can be further enhanced by adding sensors for the reactive stiffening of the steering wheel when at speed.

Not I suspect for the faint-hearted.

I guy called Matt Downer, seems to be the person most mentioned for classic Ford conversations, as it is likely that the setup you have could be Ford try searching him out?

Although I may well be wrong the TVR rack and column may well be a mix and match.

Another option is the electric saxo pump, it just replaces the standard mechanical pump, so no cutting of the
steering column.

I have this system on my car.

The standard hydraulic pipes even fitted.

I came across this whilst looking for something else.

Well I am as well, that will be the next thing to give up I bet It has been a slow process of fail and replace the last 6 months.
I have PAS and find the Saxo option appealing, as this will reduce some clutter and release some real estate on that side of the engine bay as well as a whole bunch of weight as well that red bracket is a chunk of metal on its own. The bit that worries me is blowing seals in the rack.

Perhaps rev-erend can put a bit more detail behind the Saxo mod,
Is it just adding the pump and keeping the existing rack? He mentioned that the hose take-offs are the same, that's a bonus
There are a couple of pumps as far as I can tell for a Saxo, which one has been used in this case?
Wiring? ect.

Does the constant pressure value create any problems?
