Unfortunatly you'll have to identify which rack is fitted as TVR used a variety, could be Mk5 cortina, Rover SD1 even Toyota Supra!

Nononononononono... I think 'Supra' was the name of the maker, not the model of the car it was filched from! Long-since defunct, I believe.

My '87 car has what I think is the Cortina rack, so they must've been available for a while...

Have you tried that "Stop-Leak" type stuff for PAS racks?

Or is the leak too big?

Oh, and he's right about the Supra racks BTW.
It's not a Toyota.

I had the standard solid discs up front but got fed up with not stopping and a wooden pedal, so forked out £230 dabloons for 2.8 Granny vented discs and callipers, Huge improvement and a good pedal feel,I found most motor factors stock these so shop around for a good price.

Smoke my tackle! You spent that much on standard 2.8i brakes... you could have had mine for that: I'd have rushed out and upgraded my car to the Austin Princess setup and got plastered on the change...

But the standard brakes will be Granada discs and calipers on Cortina wishbones and uprights.
I think...
