Been busy today .. I have 4 good days of weather to get the SEAC painted.. plan is to used the fist 2 days to get the prep done
and the third day to start the filler primer.
Who knows - many be I'll be in the pub on the 4th day but it's my spare day.
Then at least a week for the filler primer to go off / shrink.
1st day was today - got about 1/2 the prep done.. my fingers are already sore..

What colour are you going for the Rev?
Wee man.
Find out at BBWF !
Another hard days work on the wedge .. the nose cone, back and one side are all nicely promered and look excellent and read for top top - after a sand down..
Just the last side to do and some patches that are a bit thin.
Bonnet, boot & Spoiler all read for top coat too.. smooth as a babies bum.

Hopefully the installation of an uprated touring car spec T5 box as I think I have reached the limit of the LT77 - even a strengthened toughen jobby - as I have snapped the 5th gear shaft. It seems that 500 lb/ft torque with slicks was too much for it. Managed to pick up a T5 that has the CTS/Quaife big gear internals and solid selector forks etc and is capable of taking 700+ lb/ft so it should support the next couple of engine upgrades Taken from a 650 bhp RS500 that shrapnelled its engine after a few hundred miles.
Downside is that it needs a new prop (uprated to similar torque), bellhousing and mounts but all that is underway at the moment. Going for a concentric clutch cylinder/release to free up some room for the exhaust manifold.
If I get time... plumb in the water injection system and increase the boost a little...

Hope you know that water vapour is the main green house gas and a major cause of global warming
There should also be a warning on you car not to accelerate to quickly as it's likely to over speed the earths rotation and make a whole bunch of us spill our tea and coffee's
Finished welding the internals of my exhaust and packed it with wirewool and glassfibre wadding .. and started welding it all up again.
The case is a double layer of very thin stainless .. once I laid some metal down - the final weld was very very fast to prevent burn thru .. and I thought a run was just in paint..
Got a bit more to do yet..
