What's happening in your garage this weekend ?
Discussion
Two steps forward and one back for my weekend antics.
The 4 gas analyser kept rebooting and giving errors, so the load point zero map (mot no load)
for ignition was just a guesstimate.
I did map the fuel but was having issues with the throttle linkage being sticky during the mapping. So I took the cable off and oiled it, plus moved things around a bit .. still got to complete it as I have to reset the 2 banks of throttles visually and with the airflow meter.

But did you get the bonnet back on?! The 4 gas analyser kept rebooting and giving errors, so the load point zero map (mot no load)

Progress is still progress - so long as the forward steps outnumber the backwards ones, it's all good
Adjusted the throttle banks and balanced them.. sounds nice now. Video is start up from cold.
Pretty good tickover for a m256 cam.
Map still needs work.

Yes, sounds pretty good! Back in my Ford Crossflow days, I had a Kent ultimate fast road cam (highest lift possible without machining pockets in the pistons) and an ultra light flywheel in a 1700cc and that wouldn't idle below 1200rpm! Mind you, it did pull all the way to 7,000rpm... Pretty good tickover for a m256 cam.

Well this weekends task was to cleanup and paint the chassis in preparation for the mot.
Its a dreaded tasks as you never really know what the out riggers have in store for you .. a real yikes moment we all go through and dread.
Well I started with the rear today, rear suspension arms cleaned up a bit and rust patches cleaned up and painted black but just a quick job as in my heart I really want them sand blasted and properly painted but will hold off until I replace the drive shafts with much stronger items from Dave Mac propshafts but that will have to wait for next winter.
Next up is the rear chassis forward to the forward jacking point on the outrigger .. the rear was all pretty good, middle tube to out rigger just very minor rust and on to the biggie and worst area the front jacking point where it meets the outrigger which amazingly was OK. I was thinking that it would be a disaster zone but so far so good .. all rubbed down and painted.
Front wheels come off tomorrow to complete the front and wheel arch area but I am notr so worried about this area but still expect a bit of rush here and there.
On Friday I booked the SEAC in to Dave Walkers for mapping .. booked for 7th July which was the soonest I could book which is not great for BBWF but I'm hoping for a cancellation and I also have the problem of getting the car 120 miles from home but I'm pretty sure a cancellation will come up.
