What's happening in your garage this weekend ?
Discussion
Playing around with a couple of cooling tank options for the SEAC.....one from an early pre serp chim and a similar but modified one.....aim is to rid the spaghetti pipes in my engine bay with a neater / simpler look like on the first griffs and chims
At first glance the standard one will fit but it's kinda close to the power steering pump (which I may take out as the steering is too light for my liking)
Will report back :-)

Sunday should be a free day for me, so I plan to change the near side wheel bearing while the rack is away being refurbished by Kiley. Also hoping to change the lower steering bearing as it also has some free play.
Looks an easy job that only needs the upper steering UJ removing and the bolts on the bulkhead.
Also need to beef up the fuel pump wiring but not sure it will be possible in the time and with the rear of the car not so accessible at the moment due to working on the front. Small garage its better that no garage.

More BBWF prep...
Last weekend: a new dizzy cap, rotor arm and HT leads (found no.3 was broken), which cured misfire.
Today: Repaired windscreen trim, cleaned and conditioned seats, cleaned door cards. Bought a new grease gun for the rear UJ's (couldn't find my old one - think I loaned it to someone and never got it back). Bought a machine polisher. Started putting the kit of tools, fluids and spares together that I plan to take...
Still plenty to do, but getting there!

UJ's greased. Front bumper seal fitted. Xenon driving light bulbs fitted. Scuff on newly refurbished wheel repaired... Engine bay cleaned up a bit in between wheel repair stages. All levels checked. Should just be a matter of a wash and polish next weekend, then all ready for Wedgefest!

So 10cm cut off and the outlet hose moved. But will it clear the power steering bracket? At first glance the standard one will fit but it's kinda close to the power steering pump (which I may take out as the steering is too light for my liking)

Trial fit....woo hoo perfect. Just waiting for some 90 degree hose to arrive then I can get it plumbed in and loose all the old stuff (mental note to self, make sure all is fine before ripping it all out lol)
