Hi,

I seem to be getting erratic idle revs when engine is warm, thought this may be due to the Kenlowe cutting in when hot and dropping the revs.

This has meant that the engine stalls on the odd occasion which is very annoying.

I am wondering whether this might signify anything more drastic than perhaps general tuning issues, and will look at the plugs etc. Also understand that there is an idle adjustment screw.

I have only had the car a couple of months and this seems to have become more prolific with the hot weather period we had although it did happen once in the rain.

Does this signify anything to do with the ECU. I am a new owner and not a mechanic of any great skill, but have seen a few posts on these engine management chips and am wondering.

Please advise oh great ones.

Thanks.

Check the multiplug to the ECU is firmly plugged in (above the passenger footwell). Try unplugging the throttle pot and see if it smoothes, it will drive okish. Check all hoses etc for air leaks (spray wd40 on any suspect areas whilst running and see if the revs rise). There is an overun valve on the side of the plenum that my be jamming, it is easy to remove and clean/check.

Very common, probably just needs setting up/ adjustment to base idle.
