Got Tallulah lined up for a re-spray to make all the body work look completely minty. Hurrah !

Only trouble is it means that the existing decals will be gone.

Any idea where you can get them.

Looking for the 350i in a sort of silver colour....any ideas ?????

I had my Tas resprayed by a guy who specialises in m/cycle bodywork. Bike graphics cost a mint from Japan, so he has them repro'd by IIRC a company in Hull. For the Tas graphics I used a 'brass rubbing' technique, however when we sent them off it turned out they'd done Wedges before and had the dimensions etc. already. I had mine done in metallic graphite and he sprayed the sills to match. The decals were spot-on, absolutely perfect copies.... but cost about £70. That was for all the side stripes (including the bit at the pointy end of the front wing that is impossible to get right any other way than cutting in one piece), nose 'TVR', side 'Tasmin' and a couple of scaled-down ones, sticky on the 'wrong' side, to go on the inside of the tail glass panel. The later cars have fewer logos and the side stripes are easier. I have seen somewhere on the 'net that you can get a set of 4 '350i' or '390SE' or whatever, but I forget where...
I guess if you approach any half-competent graphics place that has a sheet vinyl cutter, they'd be able to knock up whatever you fancy.

Although I know colour choice is limited, the Factory have still got some left (main TVR nose logo & 350i logo - not sure abbout the side stripes). Don't have much idea of price but the 280 ones I bought a few years back were pence.

I'd be interested in the details of the Hull company as I want a set done in light metallic grey for my 350+2 that with luck will be resprayed within the month and I know that TVR defintely don't have any in that colour.

Regards

Ralph

Ian,

Just wondered if you'd had any joy with the details of that Hull company? I'm holding fire with my respray until I can get hold of the logos

Many thanks

Ralph:
Sorry, I haven't spoken to the guy since I posted that comment. I'll try to catch him this week. Maybe a Yellow Pages search might turn something up? Worth finding them wherever they are, because they did a superb job with the decals I bought.

I got some 'TVR' ones off the guy on ebay, he will do any colour, just email him, also got him to do some 'Tuscan' ones, all he needed was a digital photo and the dimensions and also some 'Tuscan Challenge' ones, they all came out perfect and went on the car easily. Plus it was only £17 for the lot inc p+p, far cheaper than any graphics place.
Cheers Al.

OK, here we go: I don't know why I thought the place was in Hull, it's actually in Nottingham. Doh!

You want The ImageWorks, tel. 01159 443111... and tell 'em Glen at Cleveland Bikespray sent you!

Ian

Addendum: the latest issue of 'Back Street Heroes' features a radical chop (bike) painted by Glen. Not to everyone's taste but hey, the customer is always right...
