I started to notice a buzz, or humming coming from the fuel pump today that wasnt there before. Do these pumps come apart so i can check things, any ideas? In other words do i get the wallet out or can i have another beer and sit by the fan all evening!

Could just be the hot weather, they buzz more in the summer.
Have a beer, forget about the car..
I think i'll "join" you..

It's telling you it's on it's way out. Change it otherwise you'll be arriving home on the back of a tow truck.

Depends, Pumps tend to buzz when the temp is very high.
If its noisy in colder weather then there may be a problem.

I agree with Tim, I have owned many cars that have noisey fuel pumps in hot weather but never had one fail on me.

Bought a Vauxhall Carlton 5 years ago. The fuel pump buzzed from the day I bought it. At first I thought it was going to immanently fail but after 5 years it's still going strong....so maybe nothing to worry about.
