The Mini Clubman one would be a fair bet; it's almost certainly a Lucas and looks similar to the Tasmin original. Problems?

Mine could do with a bit of a tidy up and I know they are Renault ones, but thought it might be worth changing to something that is more readily available.

Ah. The Renault ones are smaller than the Lucas, so you won't get the Lucas in the orifice. Oo-er...
Do what I did: buy some GRP and lampholders, and make your own

I saw your home made ones, but unfortunately I have the ribbed bumpers - so they would be a bit of a challenge!

Do you think the Metro one would fit?

Cheers

Hard to say. Ask the guy for some dimensions?

Ian,
I don't suppose you still have an original lens I could buy off you? One of my lenses has a crack in it but the other one is fine as are the backs.

Which side? My o/s one was smashed by a flying object, hence I had to do some fabricating. As far as I recall, I still have a n/s lens.

Ian,
I've just been up to my attic (where the indicators are!!) and it looks like its the drivers side one thats cracked. I'm no good with near side and off side, I have enough trouble with left and right!! so if that is the one name your price, or if you need any bits for yours I can swap you for it let me know what you need, I may have them.
many thanks,
Gareth.

Well, the nearside is the side nearest the kerb as you drive...

Alas no, the one I'll have (if I can find it) will be the LEFT lens...

Danny,
Can't tell from piccies but they look a close fit to the Wedge ones - at that price it's worth a gamble!

Sidelight / indicator units on my 1985 280i are from Renault 12 or Reliant Rialto. They are available new directly from Reliant or if you want second hand units or just the lens then try David Kelly breakers just outside Wrexham (www.davidkellycars.co.uk). Believe it or not he has loads of Renault 12's in his yard.

Great tip many thanks.
I have e-mailed David kelly.
I have heard about the reliant lenses before but I don't suppose you know if the lenses are the same fit as the renault ones or do you need the matching backs as well?
Thanks again,
Gareth.

I got the sizes of the Metro one of the seller and they won't fit.

Ian - I'll take you up on the nearside unit if it's on offer. Its the worst of my two

Cheers

The Reliant supplied units are identical to the Renault 12 units, including the lens. I bought a lens from Reliant last year (before I had found all the Renaults in David Kelly's yard!), and it screws straight on.
