390SE, 1988 (one of the last, apparently), white. 50,000 miles. The words of the company that service ir are 'it's a very fast wedge'. Although it isn't at the moment - see the MOT thread. Rich.

Yeah, I had some tyres like that once! Just kidding, it sounds like a real beast. Peter Humphries (and a green v8S)

No that was on SO2's!! You should have seen the Guy's face in the Saab as I passed him at 90 degrees! Sadly, the car is being sold due to a beautiful daughter. I am removing carbs etc and going back to injection (boring!!).

I may be a little late with this one,but what the hell!!! Had a 280 FHC in Silver April 1981 Fifth series 2 FHC made, now being raced by Steve Lewis in the Tasmin Challenge. However. After 2 years of being Wedgeless (money as well as car) I have just got a 450 SE in Magenta Pearl with half leather grey interior. Registered on the 01/01/91 that must surely make it one of the last 450's made as they ceased production in Dec 1990. Anyone else got a 450 SE, contact me, to swap stories, info or a shoulder to cry on. Me ? All I need is 320 BHP to keep a smile on my face !! Regards Broadside.

Seeing as we are talking rarities... 1989 450 SEAC 35,000 miles Monza Red Grey leather/red piping Very good fun, but need a back seat now (no prizes for guessing why), so I don't think I can justify keeping it. Appearing in a classifieds' section near you soon... Alex

Very similar to mine then! 1988 420 SEAC RED Grey Leather/Red Piping About 300BHP at the flywheel (rolling road tested) The engine spec is on Tim Lamonts ACT website. Incidently, I suspect the most powerful non-racing, injected Wedge is probably Sean Hayes Blue SEAC - again the power curves are on Tim's website. Russ Edited by Brm Brm on Wednesday 11th July 22:45

I think this has probably been eclipsed by Steve Heath's fire breathing 520 monster though! Cheers, Peter Humphries (and a slow green V8S)

But I'm crap at mowing lawns. :-) Hopefully the engine and gearbox in my SEAC will now be connected to the chassis properly. We found stripped thread in one of the engine mount holes in the block. As a result the engine/box had been rocking quite neatly under full load, perishing any bushes and probably affecting other parts of the drivetrain and stressing the other mounts and chassis (I guess) Should be fixed in a day or two. Good to hear your engine is going well and soon to be better. Edited by shayes on Friday 10th August 10:34

Has been fitted with 350i front spoiler and European front bumper. Car has approx 80k miles. One of 40 built for US in 1983 according to factory records. You could try to zip it. Or take it into some sort of Windows wave editing software (the kind that is bundled with PC sound cards) and try compressing it that way.

I would be interested in it, if you mail it to me, I will have a go.
