Not wishing to jump the gun, but it looks like the Tasmin may be going To be replaced by (if it's still available) the 420 SEAC in the classifieds.
I'm still waiting to hear from the seller, does anyone know anyhting about this car? Is it a good one etc?

Gavin (waiting with baited breath)

Edited to add Advert to appear tomorrow or Tuesday.

Seen it a few times, know of the owner who has had it for around 8-10 years.
Very original, one of the first 10 with full kevlar body, very ripply but thats normal, fully adjustable suspension etc, not seen it for years so can't comment on condition.
P.S there is another SEAC coming soon !!

Go for it Gav, you know you deserve it. Let me know when you get it (ok if) cos we should have a spontaneous meet.

I'll be v. v. jealous!!!

Went to see the car yesterday and it's very original. Few little marks and cracks on the bodywork, but that's to be expected with the Kevlar, as are the ripples. Weave is visible through paint in some areas, which is nice. Would benefit from a new roof. Chassis very good and consistently protected every year. Very good service history, loads of bills and all previous MOT's. Interior also very good. Would have bought it myself, but the sale on my Tuscan fell through today, ar$e. View it asap cos it'll go very quickly. Anyone want to px a BBW, 400SE upwards, for a Tuscan Racer? Tim do you know anyone, especially the guy with the SEAC?

Cheers, Al.

PS. Don't forget my commission Steve.

Update:

Well all looks to be going well, I've arranged to go and see it tomorrow night, and if all goes well it should be finding a new home. I swear to god I got about 3 hours sleep last night and tonight looks likely to be the same. I am the most impatient person in the world.
[Sensible head on] Anyone know if there's anything else I should look out for over and above other Wedges[Sensible head off]Ooohhhh Flames!

Roll on Tuesday!

Gavin - SEAC's are the same as all other Wedges..
it's starting at a realistic price - so it could be a good chance to own a nice one.

Hope it's as nice as it looks..

Well if the its the same one I talked to the owner about, I am insanely jealous. Couldn't make the ££'s in time so pulled out before I wasted any of his time, hence didnt even get to see it the flesh. But.... I want I want I want....

I know how you feel. I was like this last year when I decided to go for the SEAC and trade in my previous pride and joy. Luckily I have two teenage sons who knew the SEAC was the only way to go, so no serious head needed there then.

Checks just the same as any wedge. Outriggers easier to feel as not completely enclosed by bodywork. Make sure the documented engine number matches. My NCK number is engraved on the plenum chamber near to where the air pipe is fitted.

Have fun tomorrow. Maybe two SEACs at VW next time?

Rev - Cerbera gone already, replaced with Chim. Tuscan still for sale, very good price now.

Gavin - SEAC very good in my opinion, as previously stated, I would of bought it if I had the cash. Drives really well and goes great on the motorway, apparently. Chassis outriggers are solid and have been continuosly protected.

Cheers, Al.

Gav, good luck tonight, what time ya going?

Can you post a or a later???

Sounds to me that this is exactly the sort of deal where you've already bought the car in your mind and now you've just got to go through the motions.

Sausage egg and chips for supper methinks!!

Go for it, it's a BBFRKSW (Big Bad Fat Red Knobby Stonking Wedge)

Noticed the 350s is now being advertised - does this mean you got the SEAC?
