can i just disconnect the throttle heater ?
i presume there is just one pipe in and one out with no gallery inside to anywhere else
i'm asking as i'm too lazy to take the plenum off to have a look
nice to meet some of you at bbwf
my head was banging from too much gin this morning

Hi Richard, nice to hook up with you both yesterday. Really enjoyed the run up. The old FHC sounds bloomin maaarvellous. thumbup

Yes that thing is of no real use at all & was only connected up on one of my previous machines. yes

You can just about see it on my old wedge here. I think it was for Range Rovers in cold conditions.

+1. All it does is complicate the plumbing and provide another place for air locks to lurk. If you remove the whole casting from under the plenum, remember to replace the bolts with a good dob of threadlock to block the holes that are left or it'll lean cos of the air leak.

thanks for that chaps - heater is a gonner then
while i'm pulling bits off around there does anyone know the intermotor part numbers for the coolant temp sensor and thermotime switch ?
thanks for the run up wyn - the old fhc hit 138 mph on the gps coming home - obviously on some private road somewhere

Nooooo! Get Lucas ones or you'll be replacing them again in 6 months time...

Yeh - intermotor gear is crock. The genuine ones are dead cheap anyway.

ok have we got lucas part nos ? exactly same as sd1
slightly different private road with a really long downhill bit - near ross

Intermotor coolant temp sensor is ETC8496 (supplied by Rimmers). If anyone has a source for the Lucas parts I'd be interested to know, as I did look some months ago without success.

55128 is the Intermotor number.
