Thanks for the invite today! Your car will be something when its done! I hope the comparrison with my car was useful. In typical TVR fashion the differance are unbelivable. I can't get over the small front brakes!
It was nice to meet Dave, Jamie and Stu, had a great chat with you!
The ride home across country was brilliant and by the time we got home Rose had forgivien me for making her share here half of the car with the "Wedge" sills Stu gave me!!!
Hers a couple of pics of today!
"SNAP"
Even Martins dash is differant to mine, its the same as Rose's 280i series 3 dash.
"Hotty" I think he needs a set of your veneers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Montego seats i think
Amazing the things the old memory holds. I knew I'd seen those seats before, just couldn't place the car. Now you mentioned it I can invisage them in one now. Good call!pistolar said:

Hi
Just had another look at the pics I took yesterday of Martins car!
It has given me an idea for a competition for BBWF!
Here's the pic which has given me the idea!
As you can see, his chassis polishes up very well!
Now this is the idea.
Martin you prep the body for a lift, Should take about two days! (A day for the engine compartment and a day for the rest)
Remove all the bolts holding the body to the chassis, then put a couple back so it's still attached together for transporting.
On arrival at BBWF four to six people lift the body off, (Two could properly do it as it hardly weighs a lot, if the bonnet is anything to go by.)
Then we have a polish the chassis competition.
The winner is who can polish the most chassis in 1/2 an hour.
After about three hours a shine new chassis.
I would organise the polishing equipment, autosol, duraglit, rags etc.
The only health and saftey equipment needed will be sun glass's for the glare of the sun on the chassis when we have finished!
Six people then put the body back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prize on offer,
Martin and I buy the winner a drink or two!
Martin you know it makes sense! All that work done for little expense and all in a day!
Now who up for it!

Not sure about letting anybody touch it at BBWF... I'm looking forward to the light relief of polishing it after the hard slog of the rest of it!
It was great to meet you guys and compare to Andy's SEAC, thanks for coming over and the advice. I was amazed at all the differences too!
Leigh, thanks for the trailer offer, if we can pull that off it'll be fab.
Stripped more of the interior now, predictably enough it's pretty awful. You can see the Kevlar weave in this pic though.
This is what's left of the steel bracket at the base of the B pillar/hood frame close to the seat belt mounting point. Not a lot left of the bracket, but the bolts are still there - you can see the space between the bolt heads and the body where the bracket and washers used to be... Getting the bolts out is going to be interesting, the nuts they go into are captive and hidden between the two shells of the body. Plus there's no access space for a drill. bug*er!
I haven't fully investigated the bars within the body that support the door hinges, but they don't look much better:
Not sure what these hieroglyphics mean...
