www.wpce.org/index.html

basically we aim to run trackdays throughout the year for all the guys who like to have legal fun on occasion. pushing our cars to a limit in safer circumstances

we've already had our first trackday at llandow nr cardiff to some success and looking to build on that.

we also intend to have social meets and other fun activities.

check out our website for more information, a forum for lighthearted car chat, plus galleries of events we've covered.

Thanks for your time

Up yours Steffano

I do have a suitable car it's just not on the road yet.

Are you in for the track day as well or are you going to do what you did on the last Lotus run (drive for a few miles then limp the car back home)

ok guys, meeting is scheduled wednesday.

need to ask your opinions, would you be up for a trackday before the christmas period, bear in mind the probable crap weather for both on the track and people on the sideline...

were in talks with llandow for possible dates but need to know if its going to be worth running one at this time of year?

Cheers

I would be. There would probably be about 4-5 of the other Lotus boys interested as well.

Any idea on likely cost?

last trackday we had cost £80 if i remember right, and that was pretty much unlimited track time

we will definately have a closed session though, for people who have not experienced trackdays before. i will be one of these of the next outing

I too would be interested in this, provided I have finally bought a new motor by that time. Keep us updated

Looking for anything in particular Dick? You could always take the BMW. Rear wheel drive is usually lots of fun on track.

Probably is, but I'm too afraid that the wheels'll fall off my car the minute it hits 80!

In shortlist includes:

Alfa Romeo GTV coupe 3.0
BMW E36 M3 3.0
Honda S2000
Lotus Elise mk1
Porsche 911 (964)
TVR Chimaera 4.0

These are the cars it keeps coming back to when ever I serisoulsy think about it. I was hoping to start the buying process at the end of the summer but as I recently bought my first house and it's proving twice as expensive to do up as planned it'll be a little longer yet.

Good lad. Keep us posted.

I mentioned it to some of the Lotus boys yesterday who were all keen.
