i hope my comments dont upset the very sensive pistonheads but i feel a strong urge to share them...having lived in wales for a long time ,raced cars nationally and having run my own business , worked with local authorities and councils of the left persuasion i think i have a little knowledge of how F**cked up and incompetent socialists are when given charge of large amounts of money. Given most have never been in business and believe that any money a person earns in excess of 30k a year is due to criminal behaviour ,tax evasion,or bowing down to satan's demons and being pure evil.....and being that they have a greater moral sense than most humans they feel they can administer tax payers evil earned cash and redistribute to those in need like, poor welsh peasants and their mates down the rugby club. Harsh though this may seem, the embarrassing fiasco that has unfolded by the incompetent boyos in the welsh office does not surprise me one iota ,given that i predicted this 2 years ago!! .....hand out to those with special needs a heap of money that they have not earned and one plain truth bubbles to the surface ...sheer stupidity covered by a layer of suited word salad .the circuit of wales has been a money spinner for the professional poker players whom know the financial game and at the same time have their sweaty fingers in the public piggybank.....now then ....
.whats the difference between the millenium stadium and the circuit of wales ....the welsh dont give a f**ck abt motor sport as its a minority sport here like buggery and sheep dog trials ......there is no will to get it right even though the long term impact could change ebbw vale and surrounding areas for ever ...this project will never come off and the likely outcome of the site for the track ,will be another rugby club where the booze can flow and another housing estate where ford fiestas race around the roads bouncing over the sleeping policeman as entertainment for the few ....ohh... do i f**cking wish i was wrong but the mind blowing idiocy of those in charge makes this just so very very sad ...now dont get annoyed at my comments but the next time you happen to meet a boyo from the welsh office (many will be in the posh boxes at the champions league final having their anuses greased) then politely punch them in the face and walk away with a smile having dished out some public accountability...!!.....NOW THAT WOULD BE A RARE OCCURRENCE!!

I feel so sorry for the circuit of Wales representatives who will shortly be missing the large salaries they have been enjoying while decisions are being made bounce

There is a lot of truth in what you say, and while I may not have articulated it in this way, facts are facts.

LOL - ever tried to get a grant/funding for your business? I gave up after the first meeting It was clear it was going to be a bureaucratic nightmare and that I knew more about the industry than the expert - despite reaching out as I felt I didn't know enough! I think others may well know how to 'work it' better and some are absolute specific experts geared to do only that...so you could be being a bit harsh on individuals? Maybe...

A real shame but no surprise. Given that its not a football or rugby stadium, a cycling track or 'affordable' homes, it never stood a chance.

If it's genuinely viable it could surely go ahead anyway... but with clauses like "in the event of it failing, the public purse would have to pay back £210m, while backers Aviva would keep the circuit and the infrastructure" I too would have run a million miles. Where is the shared risk in that? Extremely sadly I fear its the correct call.

Absolute fkwittery on behalf of the assembly, but that will be glossed over as "lessons are learnt". £9m wasted FFS.

It makes you wonder if anyone actually bothered to drive up there and have a look at Mordor II, as it's plainly obvious it's not a site for anything apart from sheep

Welsh, born and bred and still remains the hardest place for me to do business in. The manner in which this has been dealt with typifies why. Welsh governmental quango's and Councils remain the most challenging, run in the majority by pinch lipped, bitter pinko's, who have about as much experience in matters relating to business as Leanne Wood has in moderating her butty accent.

This was never going to work ever. As it was eluded to earlier, we simply don't have the demographic to make this a success.

Gives them more money to spaff away on the lagoon in Swansea.
