Am off to Cardiff tomorrow evening to see Funeral For A Friend play at the Students' Union - Y Plas.

I can't find anything on google regarding parking.

Can anyone recommend any car parks near by that are safe and suitable for parking a Mustang in (the width and lack of steering lock does not suit some multi-story parks with tight entrance's and miniature bays!).

Cheers

I can help with NOT the NCP on westgate street!
It’s a struggle to turn a normal sized car around in there.
There’s loads of open parking opposite the SU, around the back of the city hall. Decent cars parked around there normally, but as at risk as anywhere else I guess.
Into town I’ve parked at both St David’s and John Lewis, both a fair walk away. I’d expect John Lewis a slightly easier multi-storey out of the two.
I’d have thought one of the hotels might be preferred option for security - Hilton is closest but unsure of parking. I’m sure one of the locals will be along with better advice soon!

As said by others you can pay and display around the city hall. There are camera's along King Edward ave near to the central police station and crown court. Dumfries place is nearest secure NCP, the ramps are not massively tight internally and on Sunday you might get a space on the ground floor.

Greyfriars (near the Hilton) has combined up/down ramps with no central median so very friendly for cars with poor steering lock however it closes at midnight.

Hilton parking is for residents only and very limited in terms of spaces, also the entrance is very tight.

Try Just Park. I’ve used it a few times and it works well in city centers.

Just park in the St David’s 2 car park, it’s massive and about a 5/10 min walk to student union.

There’s a lot of on street parking around museum avenue by the history museum etc which is the road next to the student union
