IRG Prestige, Bridgend.....Any Feedback?

I've noticed a patch or corrosion on my Defender. It's still within LR Corrosion Warranty and they have two local approved body shops, IRG Prestige, Bridgend is one and Evans Halshaw in Merthyr is the other. I've heard so many awful story's about Evans Halshaw that I definitely won't be going there! Hoping that IRG aren't so bad?

Personally wouldn't touch IRG at all. Speaking with personal experience this year, they messed up paint on my Merc twice, resulting in Mercedes buying it back off me. Didn't help staff leaving for Astons, but surprised they are still open.

Just to clarify, I don’t really need a body shop recommendation, I just wanted an opinion on the approved Land Rover option as it’ll be a warranty claim. It’s in for a service at Land Rover on Hadfield Road tomorrow so I’ll run through it with them then.

It’s just disappointing that the approved LR option doesn’t sound great. Thanks for the input.

I would also advise to stay well clear Of IRG, I had the rear bumper sprayed on my GT3 and the quality of work was shocking. In the end I had to take my
car to another Porsche approved body shop to have all the work redone.

Have to say my experience of Evans H in Merthyr has only been positive

They prepped my daughters lease car before it was due to go back to Lex. Did a fantastic job on it.

Repainted parts of my RRS when managed to hit a gate!! Pearlescent paint and did another amazing job.

Managed to catch yet another gate in the Brabus, so will be whizzing it up there after xmas

I couldn't fault them, but thats what these forums are for.

They are/were where Stratstone in Cardiff, farm their bodywork out too, then apply 20% uplift to the customer.
