You definitely need a garden for them to burn off some energy. A safe garden gives you a break too, you can sit with a cold drink and they’ll knacker themselves. That’ll give you more uality time in the evenings. One he’s lived in a house he won’t go back.

Some lovely properties to buy here when he’s a consultant!!

You don’t seem to accept mails, I was going to send you my number as it’s easier o chat through stuff.
Haha exactly when I take them to the park they come back all nice and calm and usually ready for bed at the right time! Would be great to have that at home!!
I was looking at houses for sales some very nice ones! Hopefully one day we will get there! His plan is to become a consultant soon :-)

Sent you a mail.

Thanks

Oh, and you know you have to learn Welsh don’t you?

I’m joking, I doubt 10/20% speak Welsh here. I would suspect there’s quite a healthy Egyptian community if you seek them out.

You do have to be conversant with Gavin and Stacey though. It’s on iplayer and very funny.
Haha we did north wales last year and South Wales earlier this year, the Welsh was Mind boggling haha but sounded cute!!
Your right there is quite a big Arab community they have a WhatsApp group which my husband has joined hehe!

Gavin and Stacey is that the one with James Corden? I can’t remember the last time I watched any tv the children keep me very busy!

No free staff parking as far as I’m aware.

Noah’s ark is a great relatively new building. I’d be tempted to walk across Heath park and in through the side gate.

Plenty of amateur football in Cardiff, there’s 5 a side pitches at Whitchurch high school, futsal in Llanishen, doubtless there’ll be diving in Cardiff penarth or Barry. Once you’re in Cardiff access to west ales is less than 2 hours, coast beaches, castles everywhere.

That’s crazy all hospital staff should have free parking!!

I absolutely love this property it’s a shame it’s not available until the end of September though :-(
He could walk to work from there

Great thank you! Our little ones are 1 and 2 so not too worried about schools at the moment but will need to find some nicer areas with good schools in a year or 2. Unfortunately it’s been such a struggle to find anywhere to rent all the good ones are taken as soon as they are put on the market without viewing! Crazy! Thanks again I will call them tomorrow to see if it’s available

The downside is that areas each side are not so desirable but it depends what you are prepared to pay. It seems surreal what rent is these days.
Oh no really, do you think by living there we will come in contact with any of the undesirables like I’m going to the supermarkets around there etc

Don’t forget Freecycle and Gumtree. Some cheaper stuff on Facebook marketplace.

Hubby will probably struggle to get to UHW in 15mins
Thank you, will try those sites.
Oh no really will it take a lot longer? Cf831br is the post code it’s saying 21 min now but its rush hour hopefully a bit quicker if he needs to go during the night on call. A bit scared now lol :-(

Brilliant thanks for that! Is there any speed cameras there?
This might be his excuse to get a motorbike then as he’s always wanted one and I’ve been a bit hesitant about it.
He sent the this property and said he liked it and I did send him the map time of how long it will take and he said he’s happy with that so I hope it won’t be too bad for him otherwise I will feel guilty! Although we were struggling to find anything suitable in cardiff

It will depend on the time of day he’s travelling. It’s easy from there to UHW and about 6 miles. Come out the estate, turn left. Take left on the steep hill then you just stay on that road until you’re near the hospital. The traffic at normal rush hour will mean it may take up to half an hour or so, assuming he’s going in 6am, 2pm or 10pm he should be fine.

Caerphilly Road in Cardiff can be slow in rush hour. I tend to turn left at the lights by Lidl onto Maes Y Coed Road, then right onto Ton Yr Wen, go to the end, straight across Heathwood Road , onto St Ambrose Road, left at the end, straight across roundabout and your at the hospital. This probably saves at least 5 mins avoiding a few sets of lights.
Thanks again brilliant! Do you think Google maps show you this way too?

Only in the morning rush hour.
No speed cameras but before Thornhill, the limit has come down to 40 and there are two raised zebra crossings to slow down for.

Any time in the afternoon or evenings, the traffic will be coming towards Caerphilly. At night, it will be 15-20 minutes.

There is another route with less traffic - turning left before the top of Caerphilly mountain and going through the lanes, past the Black Cock Inn and down Rhiwbina Hill and through Rhiwbina, though parts of the lane are narrow.

The downside of that route is one speed camera (30) and the speed limit through Rhiwbina village has recently been reduced to 20.

How often does he get called out?
Thank you, sounds like there are a few different routes Incase traffic gets bad.
I think he will be on call once a week

Perhaps he can get one of those magnetic green flashing lights for his car roof when he’s in a rush?
Haha that would be funny he’s quite car proud with his gt86 I don’t know how he would feel having one of those on it but I think it’s a really good idea and would help him a lot!!!

hi, i'm in Caerphilly as well. I've got a few bits of furniture clogging up the garage if they're any help to you. Double wardrobe, couple of chests of drawers, book case, coffee table. Nothing special, all ikea, but all in good condition. I'd rather see them go to someone than the tip! Let me know if you want anything if you do end up in Caerphilly.
Oh that is so kind thank you so much!! Whenever convenient with you I could pop over to see what will fit etc? Thank you so much.
We moved in on Saturday it was quite crazy but we are getting there! Our mattress didn’t turn up so on the floor for a few days (not too bad actually haha)
Thank you a lot !!
