Im off for a drive, leaving Bristol about 9am Thur, heading M4 then cuting up to Brecon, not the direct route though, we may stay over night in Brecon for a few beers in the Brecon Castle hotel, then find some more open roads the morning after, Ill look out for you all...

Shall we say 11.30 at the services junction 30. Brecon sounds like a good run. I don't know that area to well, but there must be a few nice pubs around there. Perhaps we could discuss that when we meet tomorrow.

Well I'll be working tomorrow but I took the Mustang up to the Nant Ddu today for a good blast. Lovely grub even if it is a bit pricey but well worth a call in if you're going that way. Have a good drive.

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to PH meets but I'm looking to join you on the run tomorrow.

I will be driving up from Llanelli in a VX 220, but to save driving all the way to Cardiff to then head back in land, I figured I would drive over Hirwaun and down to meet you all at Story Arms on the A470, providing this is your chosen route to Brecon!?....

It's very short notice and I'm hoping someone will get this post. If so, can somebody please post (or email me the intial part of the route) or even better text or call me to save me dialling in on a very slow GPRS connection.

Had a great drive and it was great putting faces to the names and meeting new people. Had a few hairy moments with the ice, but all in all a good day. Best of all we did not get clamped!!!

Nice to meet you all today - finally made it!

Had a cracking drive too - even in the snow! Kept the VX's honest too, so hopefully keeping the GTi proud (with one interesting dive up one straight to get past!)....

I am well chuffed to be shown that road that I knew nowt about, will be taking it a bit more often, and will be suggesting the Bristol boys take a look up there...

Neil - you home already?!!!! Glad you enjoyed that road. believe me there are loads that are miles better and that's where the VX will shine. I've managed to change my pants now, getting whell spin in second gear with a 100 ft drop to your right is not a nice feeling!!!!!

Good to meet everyone, my first Pistonhead run. Looking forward to many more, hopefully get the karting at Llandow sorted. last time we went it was £30 each for a 70 min endurance and it was great fun.

yeah i really enjoyed myself today. drive was great although very frustrating trying to play catch up after we left brecon! i've not had the 205 over a ton in a long time and it reminded me why today. We went straight home down the a470 as i found the snow offputting, my goodyear eagles really suck on the white stuff.

Will do my best to make future events, just have to plan around my stupid shift at work

I had stinking luck all day today in the T350 Window wiper came loose on the way up, very hard to see. Then the door button got a bit lippy and wouldnt do as it was told. Then heading back from the pub few cars come in front of me at the roundabouts, couldnt overtake on the big straight every 1 else did because i was on the phone ( i know) and then i got stuck behind 3 cars bumper to bumper through the windy bits .

Eventually managed to meet you all back up then had a nice run back with Matt down the A465 . Visibility coming down the A465 wernt to good and road conditions wernt to clever all Day tbh.

All in all good fun though, waiting on news of carting and then a meet in nice sunny, dry roaded conditions
