New to Pistonheads

Hi,
Just thought I would say hello, living on Barry Island and driving a Lotus Elise s1. Just thought you guys might recomend a garage to service my car. Its got 30k on the clock and its a 1998 model so I dont fancy paying Stratstone prices.

Ps if you spot the car flash the lights I dont see enough Lotus on the mean streets of Barry.

Cant help you with the garage but Ill keep and eye out for you in Cardiff, i aint a Lotus driver tho, nor will I be driving the Tuvra if i see you In Cardiff, probably my little red 206cc or my Dads silver Volvo C70, so if u see some loony flashing their lights in them cars, its me lol

P.S. Welcome 2 Piston heads, hopefully ull be attending the meet planned for February

If you don't mind travelling into the middle of Cardiff for servicing then you could try Peter @ Roath Garage. He's a TVR specialist who works on all things exotic and it's where I take my BMW now.

His number is 029 2046 5374 and he's situated just off Albany road. I can give better directions if needed.

Hi Craig,

I live in Barry - haven't seen you about yet. I'll be the one in the blue Chimaera - I often drive around 'the island' - especially in the summer bird spotting......

I also use Peter in Roath Garage for servicing - highly recommended.

No No Nicky I am sure you are not the only TVR driver in the Village. I aint seen many Elises though. My mate has one and he uses it for track days (he is selling his GT3) gutted. And the guy a few doors up from me has a red S1 but I have never seen him in it or had chance to talk to him. As i live on the Island all I every see is Saxo's and Corsa's that look like they ram raided Halfrauds covered in super glue.

Live in Barry, swopped the elise for a 7 superlight. Just trying to be brave, cos it's a wee bit chilly! Had a spin in Cardiff last week too, cetainly woke me up to the conditions....
