Hi,
Just thought I would say hello, livig in caerphilly and driving a Renault clio 182 Cup. Just thought you might be able to recommend a Rolling Road in south wales or across in Brisol. I want to do a few mods to the car but just want to have a before and after reading

Cheers

Charlotte

Yeah, try Willfield Motors in Abercynon - Tommy's great for N/A cars and only charges around £40 for a rolling road session - worked wonders on my carbed up Golf!

Ive been to Tommi's (willfield motors), he seems a genuine guy and an old school style mechanic. I hear is is very reputable in 'mini' circles and good at carb tuning. Last time i went there his cooling fan wasnt upto much, and i personally would suggest any high output cars use a bigger place.

Interpro ive also been to although didnt have my car RR'd there. very good setup with both 2wd and 4wd rollers, monstrous cooling fans and a nice setup to cope with bonnet vents/intercoolers i.e. scoobies and GTIRs.

The place on penarth road (im buggered if i can remember what its called at the mo) ive not had it confirmed if they have a rolling road, but there have been rumours about it for several years.

Not been to westec yet, but ive heard its good. Looks like WPCE might be having a RR shootout there in the next couple months if there is enough intrest.

Finally there is also PowerStation in gloucestershire. Once gain ive not been there, but ive heard its of similar quality to Interpro. One of the owners on the 205gtidrivers forum works on teh floor above it and is currently having them work on his track 205. From his accounts there are quite often top end motors in and out of there. Its also near to lichfield motors (subaru importer/tuner) iirc

Gotta agree with that, I've seen a few turboed motors slowly cook themselves on Tommi's rollers but he knows his stuff with N/a

Is the place on Penarth Road called Highline/Hyeline? They the Jap specialists?

Used to take my old TVR S1 to Tommy up at wellfield as well, a few years ago mind. He used to be booked for weeks in advance at the time. I remember him telling me that a guy used drove all the way from Pembrokeshire with a rally car on a trailer for him to take care of.

I use Westec Performance in Newport. 1500 BHP rollers that are also 4WD capable.

The place in Cardiff, Penarth is Hyline (SP?) not sure if they have a RR now.. I've also heard the place called by another name by old skool mechanics down Cardiff way, but can't remember the name.

BTW seeing as your only down the road in Cearphilly, if you see a black grisely looking classic 900 Turbo hooning down the Brad bypass, gives us a nod if the Think! van is about

I've got the silver 2005 Mustang GT in Caerphilly. Wave if you see it (Clue: it won't be raining).
