South West Wales Breakfast Meet
Discussion
Worked out why I never make this, despite being all of 1.7 miles down the road... I have to get up for work every other day of the week and so it's usually gone 12 on Sundays before I even think about moving! Hmmmm, maybe I'll try again this time Anyone happy to talk to meet-newbie-no-mates?

Yep, we are all happy to talk to newbie-no mates. Most of us have been there at some point. What are you driving? If it's chucking it down, I will be in shorts and a t-shirt. If its dry, i will be in shorts and a t-shirt. DHE said:

A black JDM Subaru Legacy GT Spec-B 2litre twinscroll turbo wagon, aka "the rocket powered hearse", with throaty STi back boxes... they came with, but have grown on me Edited to add:
Or not. The thing broke down on me today
Accelerating onto the M4 from Pont Abs, getting to about 70 when suddenly no more as engine at idle speed. Engine stays at idle no matter what position the accelerator. RAC time...
P0607 - control module problem. Poor earths, poor battery, poor voltage, air leaks, throttle or accelerator position sensors, slightly fried ECU are all possibles.
And, just make matters more fun, the car's running OK again now - it clears the limp mode and CEL if you turn it off and on 3 times without the error occurring... which means it's going to be an intermittent electrical problem to chase
Have a good meet folks, hope the weather dries up a bit!

As Huw said it's good to still have the hardcore long termers and also the newer members who are becoming more regular. It would be good to have more activity on this thread as this is where it all started and as was discussed on Sunday, people from further afield look to this thread for when they are in the area. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.
I'll try to break my virginity again this month... stuff keeps coming up!
For anyone who wants to make a day of it if the weather's nice, I strongly recommend heading down to Pendine after as the Vintage Hot Rod Association are holding their trials Saturday and Sunday. High tide is 7am and low 2pm Sunday, so it's good for the trials. Fantastic mix of old, older and very old cars, seem to be from every budget and background

Right.
Car waxed.
Alarm set.
Determined to get there this month!
If only 'cos I will be going to Pendine after, whatever the weather, make a very long morning of it, if not a full day... big greasy breakfast and a beach burger for lunch
If you have a Big or Bigger Bite breakfast, I doubt a beach burger will be needed.Car waxed.
