RAF Marham Track Day - It's Back - 26/27 Sep 15
Discussion
No room for wet weather here sorry! My tan will run!
As we haven't covered it very much, and as part of the allure of the event is proceeds all going towards Station charities I thought I'd post up here the worthy causes that will benefit from the fun we had.... win / win!!
Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund
Nelsons Journey (Bereaved Childrens Charity)
SERV - Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers
EACH - East Anglia Childrens Hospices
So once again, thank you to all those who attended, and supported these causes.

Quote from my weekend guest, not yet a PHer........
"a wonderful introduction to a track experience, the friendliness of those attending and the quality of the organisation made it a great experience. Will definitely return next time with a car of my own!"
That kinda sums up the whole event really. Lesley came with absolutely no experience and a self-confessed fear of speed - and by Saturday lunch, I'd clocked her at 145 on the runway in the Holden. She then topped it off by spending most of Sunday strapped into the Nova.
I'm going to have to regularly check the garage for its contents now 😳

She was a pleasure to have as a passenger - especially when she didn't have a clue what the driver was going to be like....."a wonderful introduction to a track experience, the friendliness of those attending and the quality of the organisation made it a great experience. She has "brass balls" spending most of the day in the Nova - I'm not that brave!!
Marham trackdays are special full stop - it's not just that they are good value - they have a great vibe and a very friendly atmosphere that I only find in one other event I do in the year.
I guess part of it is that a lot of people know each other and the paddock settles into groups of friends without ending up clicky in the separate groups

My other half wants to sincerely thank you for taking her out in the Holden too (She was in the pink t-shirt booking drivers in), as she does love a good drive and now she's hooked and wants to get something to play around in!
it was a pleasure - I'm reasonably sure she enjoyed it !What an awesome day Sunday was! It was my first day long track day and went without any problems (spins or off track moments). I dragged along a nervous friend in his red Nissan silvia and he loved it as expected, we're both looking forward to the next one.
Does anyone have pictures of my white Integra from the sunday?

Right, if anyone has any pics or videos they want to share, please get in touch either by emailing me here through pistonheads (click on my username to the left of this post and then there is an email me box to the top right of the page that loads up) or by sending me your details through the trackday website 'contact us' page.
I can then create you an account for the website that will alow you to upload pics and videos of the event, which will be displayed on the website (with credits to the respective owner). The pics and vids will be hosted on our servers, which as you cna see from the ones I posted earler, are visible on work computers, sadly I only see a red 'X' instead of Ian's wonderful pics on my work computer....
The maximum single file size is 64mb, so whilst pics are fine, please make sure you trim videos down to a small enough size!
Regards
Rob

My first time at RAF Marham and what an enjoyable day. I'd heard so many tales from Rob (red Nova partner) so I just had to come along and I'm glad that I did. The camaraderie between the drivers, the relaxed atmosphere and friendly marshals made me feel at ease.
Thanks to Spottedlaurel for encouraging me to come out as his passenger and kindly giving me a smooth ride! By late afternoon my adrenaline kicked in and out I ventured in my silver Hyundai Coupe with Rob by my side. It's not the best car for a trackday (automatic) but sturdy enough to hold its ground. Phew, was I thankful for the big wide track as in my rear view mirror I could see the red Ferrarri fast approaching eeeeekk!
As everyone has expressed, the time and effort the marshals / staff have put into this event is tremendous. Thank you for a super day.
Oh, and for those red nova fans out there, I have driven this little car on many events (minus track days) and it always comes home smiling rather than dancing!!!

If anyone else has any they want to share, please get in touch!
Thanks for the pics and vids from Adrian and Andrew!
