Booked in for Saturday, myself and one additional driver. My friend will bringing his own car but its only my car that will be driven on track, is he allowed to drive his car up to movements and park in the pits? It will be our support car with tools and our kit.
Support vehicles are permitted as many do bring spare tyres/fuel/tools. What you will be required to do is book the support car on to obtain a pass. If you can't do this via the website, please use the 'Contact Us' section and email all details via there so I can amend the list of expected vehicles.

NB, if people are bringing transporters/trailers etc with track cars on the back, it is easier to supply us with details of the support vehicle for a pass rather than the track car itself.

Thanks!
RAF Marham Trackday Team.

What are the rules for photography on the day ?

Wouldn't be looking to drive, unfortunately don't currently have the car for it... but wouldn't mind popping up with the camera for the day; happy to share the photos out afterwards (no financial interest)
Unfortunately, because of the layout of the airfield, the pit area is a short distance from the circuit so viewing (and thus photo's) isn't great and we have to limit the freedom of personnel away from the circuit in the interests of H&S / Insurance. We also aren't allowed spectators at the event (again, we have to limit this to family and helpers of drivers) for the very same so it's a sincere apology but a no can do.

Sorry it's not the answer you were hoping for.
RAF Marham Trackday Team.

Just for info, we will also have a cake sale on both days! My missus is baking a load of delicious cakes just in case the delicious catering van with bacon rolls, Thai curry, burgers, chilli etc. isn't enough!

It's likely to be £1 per slice so I hope participants are hungry??! :-)

Re the personal fire extinguisher, can it just be sat in the car (say glove box) or does it need to be fixed in place somewhere?

TX.
We recommend the extinguisher is situated in the glove box, drivers door pocket etc, somewhere easily accessible, NOT the boot, and not where it can fall out and roll about. If you wish to secure it to the passenger footwell etc you can, but not mandatory.

Booked-in for Saturday! Hoping to bring something somewhat inappropriate, currently awaiting parts to resurrect it after 3+ years off-road following an accident which wrote it off....

If not I'll turn up in something even more unsuitable that probably won't see more than a lap or two on the track, try and blag a ride or two and just enjoy the atmosphere of the day.

Edited by Spottedlaurel on Friday 31st March 23:04
Looking at the booking list, there's Porkers, an F430, M5's, Nissan GTR's, an Allard..... And a whole bunch of Ford Transit vans all enrolled.... So it's sure to be the usual mix of awesomeness! :-)

If everything works out, we are excited to say we should have a precision driving display and possibly other bits put on by the kind chaps from Mission Motorsport (www.MissionMotorsport.org) who do some fantastic work with serving/ex-servicemen so please be sure to say hello!

I'm definitely coming too.

April 2017.... Hmmm.... I think that makes it precisely 10 years that I've been bringing the Red Nova to Marham.
And most bits have survived! Which in itself is a shock! Lol

Haven't got a clue if my car will be ready, it's still at the garage with its engine just about to be removed to fit a new clutch, cam belt and water pump, and there are various other bits awaiting fitment on it. Fingers crossed they get it sorted, if not I'll be sending an email in a few days with a change of car details....
That shouldn't be an issue, just use the 'Contact Us section' of the website so the new details will come through to me and we can ensure you can get in. The main thing is you've got a place so we will see you!

Regards,
Steve.

when I booked, I couldn't see the bit for support car details - is there something I need to do to get my tow car through the gate ?

Range Rover M237KPE
Did you book your tow vehicle or track car in? Either way, so long as we have details for one you'll be fine!

Regards,

Hi, is the use of a gopro permitted in the car?

Also, I'm sure I read somewhere about a mobile tyre fitter maybe being present. Was that a possibility, or did I imagine it?
Go-Pro's are permitted, securely fastened. Any external ones need to have bolted/screwed mounts and not suction cups.

I did look into a mobile tyre fitter, and was after suggestions but one I found wasn't interested as there may not be enough guaranteed work so at this time, it's a no, sorry.
