Afternoon All,

I'm fairly new to photography and am currently looking for locations to do a shoot with my car to get some practice.

I'm based in King's Lynn but a 20 Mile radius should be ok.

I can only think of Sandringham if I'm honest.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks All.

Hi DomV77,

The lighthouse and its car park at Old Hunstanton might be good. If there's little traffic in car park, you can get some good coastal shots.
A similarly coastal area would be Burnham Overy Staithe quayside car park and along Wells-next-the-Sea quayside and East Quay road may be good if they're not too far away.
The above would be good for decent weather sunset photos smile

I guess King's Lynn quay is pretty in places and that huge car park square to north of the town centre (?Tuesday Market Place) has some interesting buildings as a backdrop.

Castle Acre Priory and Oxburgh Hall spring to time, too, although I don't know how close you could get a car to either place.

I can't recommend any specific areas, but in land, there would be a host of pretty villages and country roads with fine field views in which place a car for photos.

There are also a smattering of old RAF airfields where you can gain access to taxi-ways. A little further than you may like, but RAF Cockfield south of Stiffkey is one such place which springs to mind.

I don't have any recommendations for places to the south or west of King's Lynn, so hopefully some other folk will be along to help out there smile

+1 for Hunstanton lighthouse and Castle acre priory. You won't get near the priory itself but the carpark has an interesting old stone barn.

Castle Rising is another good spot and Downham Market. If you're early enough you might be able stop on the bridge briefly for shots down the canal.

Did go to Castle Acre the other day and yes it does look very nice so that is an option.

I can go explore around Castle Rising later on as its near me. Where works recommend as I can't think of anywhere to get the castle in shot?
Hmm didn't know about that one, I'll defo have a look!

Thankyou

Hi!

I'll defo look into the car park and see what it's like.
Hmm not thought I'd any of those, I'll absolutely have a look. Sunset photos would be awesome!! And they're not too far either

Oxburgh Hall is a good shout, had a quick Google and it seems a beautiful spot! But as you say, no idea how close one can get.

But Thankyou for all these suggestions, I'll have a look at them and see what I can come up with!
Appreciate it!
