Looks like the rain might hold off for Sunday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/11887929

In case we have to take shelter, have we got the PH Promotional Winnebago with us?

Fingers crossed we won't need it, but I will bring the usual huddle-shelter biggrin

Just a quick note to say I am away from now until late tomorrow evening.
I will have very limited internet, but may not pick up messages or emails until I return home.

See you on Sunday!

Do we know where we will be parking? My car is very low and when I read the blurb on the Helmingham website it said cars will be parked in the fields and referenced low clearance cars.

I'm quite a bit lower than an Elise. About 4 inches ride height on the rear.

Yup, me too. I'll be in a very low car as well which can be a hassle over speed bumps and rough grass.

Looking at the Clopton Park meet-up place there's a huge speed bump on the approach road. Has anyone been there before and is it as big as it looks on Google Street View? Darren's away now so I can't ask him directly (and he's probably a bit busy organising stuff!).

I'm thinking about going straight to Helmingham and meeting everyone there.

Cheers, Mark

I would like to do that too, but the snag is that Darren has the passes. He'd have to leave it/them at the door and hope the marshals are helpful - but it's a big show. I hate early starts!

Morning everyone,

The ground clearance at Helmingham hasn't been a problem in the past. We have had a Lamborghini Gallardo, CLK Black Series and Porsche Carrera GT attend with us before.
Just take a little care when moving from the driveway to the grass field :-)

Regarding the meeting point, I have visited briefly and it all seems OK.
I know the coffee shop on that estate holds car meets where lots of low cars, such as McLarens, Porsche Carrera GTs and GT3s, and Atoms as well other exotic cars have attended.

Regarding passes being handed out before, Helmingham stipulate clubs arrive together.

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning :-D

Hi Darren, It is possible my car won't be ready by tomorrow, I have been working on it all day to get it ready so will be a hit and miss. If there are people on the reserve list then offer my place to them. But there appears to be noone on the reserve list at this moment. Failing that, if I get my car finished in time I will be there tomorrow.

Cheers

Hi, I'll be attending, but in the TVR Car Club section of the show.

I'll pop over to the PHEA area to say hello and please do also say hello to Hugh and I if you are passing the TVR area. (My car pic / registration below)

Looking forward to it!

Philip.

I was there & saw the Pistonhead massive but didn't know any names & faces. The stunning Countach won the show for me – and having been able to see inside one for real I now know I'm too tall to ever drive one.

I've come away with a hankering for an Alfa Giulia 1750...

Thanks Darren for getting this one sorted again, had a great day, good to see familiar faces and new. Took the opportunity at the end of the day for cheeky photo.

Great day guys, and I've got first refusal on Hilary's 356! When and if Hilary decides to part with it and if I can get the necessary pink slip from Angie.......

Good to see the stand so busy and the usual amount of laughs being had.

I have to admit the car that took the show for me was the BMW i8. I mean, how often do you see them at a show, let alone out in the wild. Thanks to the owner, who left the doors open to let people have a look around. What an amazing piece of automotive design it is.

Really good to catch up as always Darren and others. Hope to see you all again soon smile
