No probs. Will scope it out tonight.

I think the lane that leads to the car park will be ok. Its the actual car park that might be a problem!

I shall survey the land and get back to you.

Ps. Sausages are pretty good though!

I`m sure it`s all graveled but am a bit concerned about the entrance bit - does the gradient change quickly? It`s cars like the Nobles with their front splitters I`m worried about. Perhaps there might be a bit of extra parking for them? Cheers

There is an area, half way down the lane that they use as over flow parking on big open days. Might just do the trick. Just means Noble owners will have to walk a hundred yards extra!

Ok, check that out as well if you don`t mind, but it would be better if we could all park together if possible. I`ve been liasing with Tanja (who is expecting a car park inspection) if you happen to go there when they are open! Just tell her Ian Beech sent you regarding the sports car hoon on the 25th Sept!

Yep, I was detailed to do the inspection but am 10 miles away and haven't had the need to head that way yet. Garage, would you mind doing the recce and judging suitability for those with low front spoilers/ground clearance?

Has anyone heard from Garage19? The last I heard, he was going to take a walk down to Jimmys farm to check out their car park and we haven`t heard from him since.

Perhaps he got attacked by some Essex pigs!

Sorry for the delay.

My laptop gave up the fight for good on friday night so had to wait to get back to work.

So if anyone has a cheap laptop they want to sell, send me an e-mail. Doesn't need to be super flash. Just used for mapping megasquirt, data logging LM-1 and some dial up internet.

The gradient of the entrance will probably not be a problem, just there is a couple of dips/pot holes in that may cause a prop for the very low.

There is a nice flat gravel section outside the front of the shop where anyone who couldn't make the car park could park.

I spoke to the lady in the shop and she said it was unlikly to be a prob if a few cars parked there but to ring the office and double check. So if Simpo could ring and speak to Tanja just to check i think you will be ok.

Doug.

Many thanks for doing that Doug, sounds like we will be ok then. I`ll clarify the parking by the shop with Tanja when confirming it`s a "go" for the 25th.

I`ll sort out the times now and put up a new thread soon!

How deep's the gravel?
I may bring the bike down and don't want the side stand sinking into gravel!

Collect a few beer mats first at the Flying Fortress and stuff them under your stand! Can`t you buy proper side stand cups these days? - sure I saw these being given out free last time we went to the Superbikes at Brands Hatch!

Select gear and hold throttle open until rear wheel is deep enough in gravel to support bike.

Just make sure you're not parked behind him at the time!

BTW After a moan by a vegetarian in our midst that I met at the TVR Monster meet about the piggy part of the raid, I am going to try and incorporate "The Corn on the cob" convoy!

This sounds like fun (thanks for the email Ian) - count me in.

As normal I'm not sure what I'll be driving but hopefully it will be something suitable!
