Anyone fancy a pie and pint? No factory visits this month I`m afraid but if you fancy a drive out, it`s a warm and welcoming place - if you BOOK your table!

Tel: 01284-787665; IP31 2QU for www.multimap.com

I won`t be coming as my son will be making his "international" motor racing debut that day - providing he doesn`t have a flat battery!

I would be along, but as it stands at the moment I would have to be on my bike to get there - last night my diff decided to go bang!
Any ideas what someone can do, when they're stuck in their house which is in the middle of no where? Ian are you STILL sure you want to live in the same sort of area as me now?

Do you not have any public transport on your 3 mile private drive?
I would love to live in the middle of no where like you, but I would ensure at least two modes of personal transportation though!

I do - ones still got a knackered front wing from a certain "incident", and the other's now got a whole in the diff. The parents are going away soon, and taking the Freelander. That only leaves the CL420!!! If they would let me loose on that, then I wouldn't be stranded, but I cant see that happening!

I won't be going either, I'm afraid, Two reasons really:
1. I'm working near Leicester on Sunday
2. The engine in my Ultima is terminal! Lost oil pressure just over a week ago, along with a cloud of smoke out the carb. It will be heading for a rebuild around Xmas.

I had to tow it to a meet with a photographer last Saturday, so keep your eyes open for January's edition of "Custom Car" mag

Ian. Hope your lad has a good day racing. What is it he's doing?

Gary

edited to add: Pistonheads TV should also get a mention in Custom Car

It`s that long Marham straight that did for your engine I reckon, sorry to hear that Gary.

My son`s motor racing debut is a bit of banger racing ( I lied about the "international" bit )

A couple of his mates that run a garage do it and they offered to fix him up a car if he wanted a go!! It`s more involved than I thought though, it`s taken a while to sort the car out - lots of safety equipment, roll cage. full harness, internal fual tank and battey storage with cut off etc. I`m a bit apprehensive but will be filming it!
