Didn't catch the Look East feature, but i've read the sum up on their website - so upsetting
I just can't believe I'll never see him again
Most of me right now is still very upset by this, part of me is angry with the bank, and the rest of me just wishes there was something I could have done - I'm sure I'm not the only one here who would have given him financial help, if only we knew
So tragic

This sad story continues to make the news. Theres just been a piece on GMTV about Ian with an interview with Gussie. Again, only a written statement from Halifax. Why can't these people have the decency to put forward a spokesperson to be interviewed instead of ignoring the issue.

I missed the Look East feature too, but did catch the GMTV feature this morning.

I was proud of Ians wife/widow being having the strength to talk to the camera.

You're right there Darren. I was actually on that very beach at Wells the day before Ian. It's very quiet this time of year. Only a handful of people there. I had the choice of going up either the Monday or Tuesday.
I chose Monday......

I have no reason to go up there, but I keep wishing I had gone for one of my random drives, as I usually ended up on the coast somewhere

Has anyone tried viewing some of Ian's earlier videos?
They don't seem work for me.

Possibly the earlier ones were hosted at his own webspace, which may have been discontnued. Not surprisingly bandwidth was a problem for 'free' space so later videoa were hosted at Pistonheads TV.

If they were hosted with Serverstream/Register1 I will have a word to make sure they live on.

When I posted something, asking if anyone had any ideas for a regional meet, I neglected to put up a title. Ian was kind enough to e-mail me, to offer some friendly advice. He didn't have to do that, and I remember at the time, being struck by his really friendly tone.

I enjoyed his videos, he looked a really decent bloke to know, and I'm sure that I would have enjoyed a pint or two with him this summer. Alas, 'tis not to be. I didn't know him, but even 'just' through communicating with him on this board, I felt I did. Strange, eh?

Cheers Ian. I'm sure you'll have a few glasses raised for you in the region this summer.

That is so sad, i really enjoyed his video's, i feel as though i new him. What drives a man to take his life over such a relatively small debt.
