So what do you reckon for us regional phers as a central starting point for a drive together? Bury St Edmunds?

Cambridge a bit too far over for we Norwich boys - Bury better but anywhere better than nowhere!

I get the impression we need a couple (or three) meeting places around the region. That or whoever feels like meeting in their area justs posts up and we can all decied whether to tag along.

How about Thetford? Lots of nice roads and a nice big car park at Thetford Forest. DOwnside is the amount of Yank Tanks around though.

Hi folks
Any of the above would do. I am near Bury so either it's a local pootle or a proper drive (Oh what a shame, another excuse). Seeing as the area seems to cover Suffolk, Norfolk & Cambridgeshire Thetfordish would in theory be the middle of the patch, but I wonder if it's the middle of the membership. I have to say that Thetford town itself would also not be my favourite as the number of unsavoury characters in the area that tend to nick cars/motorbikes/etc would make me very disinclined to leave a car anywhere without it being chained to the floor!!(this is based on my own brothers experience) The forest would be OK, but someone would have to check for ground clearance (I tend to get stuck on anything over small road hump size)
Depending on the day/time/numbers, in Bury you have the large Ram Meadow car park which is near the Fox pub or if you're lucky you can park up the cars on the Angel Hill & head for the One Bull

Interesting to see regional PH meets! I know that the Sorrel Horse at Claydon (Ipswich) is missing some TVRs on the third Sunday of each month - who would find that a handy venue?

Norwich isn't really central, especially when you look at the road access. Bury is more central and far more accessible. There's a country park in it somewhere which might make a good meeitng place - though can't remember quite where!
