Got a lovely letter from the DVLA regarding my unlicensed Vehicle, it's been sorned for the last 11-12 years and been resident in the garage ever since. Last time I sorned it was after the rules changed so I didn't need to do it every year. Has the change from Coleraine to Swansea meant they've lost a load of data?
Typically I can't find the V5 so can't do it on line or over the phone and there doesn't appear to be an option to speak to a human.
Anyone else had one of these letters for a long term sorned car?

Nope. Old bike and car I've not had any reminders for.

When they changed to the DVLA pricks, the requirement to SORN every year stopped. Once SORN'd it remains SORN'd until you tax it again or sell it etc.

It might have changed a few months prior to it moving, but it's been a while now.

My daughter had a letter through last week stating that her car was un-taxed and it either needs to be taxed or SORN'd ASAP or she will be fined, odd thing is it has been SORN'd for the past couple of years and she hasn't done anything to un-SORN it.

It was reported as stolen a year ago, as it has disappeared, so I wonder whether someone had managed to un-SORN it.

Mines still in the garage so unless the wife has sold it without me knowing I haven't done anything to unsorn mine either.
