Very light damage-cracked light lens and slight gouge in fibreglass on bonnet. It's been parked in various spots in behind the Microsoft building over the w.e. Yup, it's blue. I think it may be 'Cambridge Blue" in fact, with grey hide interior (and gold cigarette packets). You must be off to UK very soon?

Yep, a week Sunday! I'm really looking forward to the first proper holiday I've had in three years.

I'm going to try and go out and sample as many cars as I can whilst I'm over there. I may have to buy a new DV camera before we go so I can drool over the footage on my return - probably the nearest I'll get to owning some of the cars on my hit-list!

Anybody want anything brought back? Jellied-eels, Pearly-king-and-queen outfit, gawd-blimey trawsers and a council flat?

Can you pick up a few things for me? Twiglets, back copies of the Sunday Spurt, Birds Custard, TVR Sagaris with WOF?

Only joking (about the custard, anyway!)

Have a great trip

I usually have a packet of Twiglets lying around - my Mum sends over parcels for the kids (and me - had half a dozen Topics in the last parcel!). It costs her a fortune but keeps us supplied with kids clothes, toys and Discos and Walkers crisps!

I would pick you up a Sagaris but they're not due for delivery until the end of the year at the earliest - sorry. It's a shame as I'm sure I could have wangled a bit of a discount if I'd ordered two!

Funnily enough I just found a shop in Wellington selling Pom stuff, called Cool Brittannia. Was full of expats cooing over Curlywurlys and the like. Never got so excited over a packet of weetabix in my life...

Topics...hmmmm

Curlywurlys as in two strands of caramel kinda platted together then coated in chocolate? If so you can buy them in NZ anyway, we sell them at my work.

Surely they dont have different products with the same name (although you can get Amber tips tobacco in UK which is the name of a tea here)

Local Curly-wurlys are the same only much smaller as far as I can remember.

Galaxy Chocolate, Topics, orange flavoured aeros (why don't we get that flavour in NZ?), cheese 'n' onion and pickled-onion flavoured Discos and anything M&S is what this Englishman craves! I wouldn't refuse a Wagon-wheel either!

Why are Picnics different in NZ too? For some reason they don't have raisens in. Weird.

Someone told me there was just such a shop in Auckland on the shore although he had no other details. I may have to do a bit more research!

Surely you "ex-pats" would like to start your own topic?
