I know its not a very pistonheads esque car but I thought Id post up some photos of what Ive been up to this year

What It looked like at the start of the year

Stripping it

Starting to fit the kit etc - the big patch on the side is where I shaved the aerial

Ready to paint

When I first got it back and assembled it

Just before the show with 18s

It's come up rather well overall..... although still I question if that's what you REALLY wanted to do :P ....... Hopefully the next car ya spend a lot of wedge on is one that you're rather more passionate about

Now I think you could get the % profile on those tires a bit smaller don't ya think hit a stone and you dent the rims!!
Congrats, I take my hat off to anyone who strips and rebuilds any car. Expensive and time consuming process.
Are you planning on selling it, keeping it? Is there a big market out there for modded japanese cars if you were to sell it?

Anyway thanks for sharing and enjoy your baby

The black wheels are what it normally has. The tyres are 205/50/15s

The silver 18s were only borrowed for the show. The tyres are 215/35/18s

Theres not a huge market for them. One similar spec but with stock seats and a stock stereo sold recently for 13 grand, that compares to a stock one about 6-8. That wouldnt be anywhere near close to getting my money back though.

Im not sure what im gonna do with it at this stage. Im tempted to finish it and build a nice motor for it but at the same time it goes well enough already (probably mid 15s 1/4) and it seems pointless throwing any more money into it when it just means further till I buy something better. Either way Im not spending any more money on it this year.

Next year will have to wait and see. Though Ive promised by the end of next year Ill buy something more appropriate. Which at this stage is likely to be an MGB or a lotus europa or something similar that I can work on myself
